Today's post is going to be a little different. Instead of talking about games, movies, TV, or anything else under the sun, I'm going to spend a few minutes discussing Jared Petty and his brilliant new idea for a show.
Jared Petty is one of the nicest, most humble, and joyous people you are likely to ever meet. His positivity and joy in making other peoples days better and full of more happiness makes him one of the sterling people out there.
Jared is launching a brand new podcast called Pockets Full of Soup, it's a story-telling podcast where a new guest comes on every episode and tells the story of someone they are thankful for. As Jared says in the introduction, the stories can be humorous, sad, or even uplifting, possibly even all of them. It is a wonderful and much welcome way to bring even more positivity and light into this world and allow people to shine a spotlight on the fantastic people out there who have made their lives better in ways they will never be able to repay.
It is one of the most fantastic ideas for a podcast I have heard in quite some time and a natural fit for Jared. The first episode of the show, with Greg Miller, features two of the people who I most love, respect, and admired. The ensuing conversation about who Greg is thankful for, Tim Grant, is powerful, emotional, funny at times and deeply movingly, inspirational and thats all from a story I've heard Greg tell on numerous occasions. These are two of my very favorite people, who I am incredibly and endless thankful for, weaving a tale of the profound impact others left on them. Absolutely check out the episode and subscribe to the show. The world can never have enough of the wonderful and joyful stories Jared is seeking to share. I can not wait to see more of Pockets Full of Soup.
