Weekly Wrap-Up July 10th, 2016

As Sunday dawns and we once again start a brand new week its only fitting we take a look back at the highlights of this past week, while also looking to the new and exciting things laying ahead.

Right away the big takeaway from this past week was just how great the PSN mid-year sale was.   I managed to snag Guacamelee, Resogun, and Tales from Borderlands and have been playing through and enjoying all of them so far.  I've already posted my reviews of the first two episodes of Tales from the Borderlands and you can expect to see more in the coming days.

At the same time I went back and replayed Gone Home now that its come out for consoles and was thrilled to discover that the game is just as fantastic as it was during my first playthorugh all those years ago.  Tense, emotional, and with one of gamings most captivating stories, Gone Home remains a testament to powerful story-telling, and if you haven't played it yet you should do yourself a favor and get on that now.

Shifting to the big things laying ahead this week, I expect to continue my journey through Tales from the Borderlands and also get started on the third season of my flashback review of the Sopranos.  That coupled with also continuing to dig deeper into Resogun and Guacamelee has me very excited for what this week has in store.  There is also some big stuff possibly happening that I can't quite talk about yet, but that I'm very excited for.

Now lets go ahead and name our PS I Love Your Work member for the week.  This is the Kinda Funny best friend or just anyone out there doing awesome work on the interwebs.  For this week that special person is Tom Hawkins.  Tom is the mastermind behind a number of excellent made and hilarious videos involving Kinda Funny inside jokes, bets, and anything else the guys have discussed.  Yet, in his spare time he also hosts his own YouTube series in which he answers questions, talks about what he's been playing lately and even calls out other people doing great work, he's actually a major source of inspiration for this segment.  So do yourself a favor and check out all of Tom's awesome videos and content over on YouTube.

That's all I've got for now, I am expecting some big things this week and I can't wait for all of you to check it out yourself, until then
